At Cascina Bruno we breed Helix Aspersa Maxima snails in our land in Elice, in the province of Pescara. A natural breeding, linked to the seasons, from which products for gastronomy, snail slime and guided tours of the company are born.

When you look for snails in Abruzzo, you find an agricultural area made up of hills, olive groves and small producers. Cascina Bruno was born here, in Elice, and combines olive growing and heliciculture in a family business also open to visits.
Our snails grow outdoors, in dedicated enclosures, with controlled vegetal nutrition and without forcing. We follow the natural cycle of the seasons: preparation of the enclosures, growth, hibernation, spring awakening and manual harvesting when the shell and size are ready.
From the same breeding two paths are born: snails for gastronomy and snail slime for cosmetics. For this reason, those who visit Cascina Bruno can see the farm, learn about the slime extraction method and try the cosmetics made with our raw material.

Hosting people who come from far away is an honor for us. This is why the visit is flexible and adapted to the group.
During the visit the company is reserved for you: we tell the family history of Cascina Bruno, we look at the gullies from the terrace, we walk among the olive trees and we arrive at the snail farm. The journey continues with the focus on drool extraction and cosmetic testing.
Upon request we organize personalized tastings with single-varietal oils, bread made from ancient grains, local cured meats and cheeses and Cerasuolo, Montepulciano or Pecorino wine from a local farm.
